Tax & Filing Services Disclosures

Last updated: July 29, 2026

LedgerHelm offers optional features that help you prepare and submit certain tax and information returns (for example, 1099 and W-2 forms, payroll returns, and income-tax returns). These disclosures explain how those features work and what you are responsible for. They supplement, and are part of, our Terms of Service.

LedgerHelm is not a CPA firm or tax advisor

Arkenly LLC is a software provider. LedgerHelm is not a certified public accounting firm, an enrolled agent, a law firm, or a tax-advisory firm, and using the Service does not create an accountant-client or attorney-client relationship. The Service and its AI features provide tools and information to assist you and your advisors; they do not constitute accounting, tax, or legal advice. For advice about your specific situation, consult a qualified professional.

Filings are transmitted by licensed partners

LedgerHelm does not itself transmit returns to the IRS, the Social Security Administration, or state agencies. Information and payroll returns are transmitted by an IRS-authorized e-file provider, and income-tax returns are prepared and filed by licensed preparers, in each case acting as the filer or preparer of record under their own authorizations. LedgerHelm passes the information you provide to the applicable partner and relays status back to you. See our Subprocessors page for the current partners.

You are responsible for accuracy and timeliness

You are responsible for the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the information you submit for a filing, including names, taxpayer identification numbers, amounts, and your eligibility to file. Review every return before authorizing its submission. Filing deadlines are set by the relevant authority; submitting through the Service does not extend any deadline, and we do not guarantee that a filing will be transmitted before a deadline if submitted close to it.

Acceptance is determined by the authority

Whether a return is accepted, rejected, or subject to further review is determined by the IRS, SSA, or applicable state authority — not by LedgerHelm or its partners. A submission through the Service is not a guarantee of acceptance. If a return is rejected, we will surface the reason where available so you can correct and resubmit.

Fees and refunds

Filing features may carry a per-filing or bundled fee, shown before you pay. That fee is charged by Arkenly LLC for use of the Service and for submitting your data to the applicable partner. Except as required by law or expressly stated at checkout, filing fees are earned when the return is submitted for transmission. Where we state a rejection-refund policy at checkout, that policy governs; duplicate or erroneous charges are refunded.

No guarantee against penalties

Arkenly LLC is not liable for penalties, interest, or other amounts assessed by a tax authority arising from information you provided, late-submitted filings, rejected filings you did not correct, or your eligibility to file. Our liability for the filing features is subject to the limitations of liability in our Terms of Service.
